Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function of a growing automotive company in Dawra. You will own the full accounting cycle, ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, and manage the financial side of our import and export operations, working closely with management, logistics, and customs clearing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full accounting cycle: general ledger, AP, AR, and month-end and year-end closing
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage the accounting of import and export transactions: shipment costing, landed cost calculation, customs duties and taxes, clearing and freight charges
Handle supplier payments, letters of credit, and international transfers, and follow up on foreign currency exposure
Monitor inventory valuation and cost of goods sold for vehicles and spare parts
Ensure compliance with Lebanese tax, VAT, NSSF, and Ministry of Finance requirements, including timely filings
Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis for management
Perform and review bank and account reconciliations
Supervise, guide, and evaluate the accounting team
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting procedures

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, and Saturday when needed

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus)
7-10 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role
Mandatory hands-on experience in import and export accounting, customs procedures, and landed cost
Strong knowledge of Lebanese tax, VAT, and labor and social security regulations
Experience with multi-currency accounting (USD/LBP)
Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent command of Arabic and English
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines
Proven leadership and team management skills

Preferred:

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Navision
Experience in the automotive, spare parts, or trading sector
